Ransom + Haley

back to blog

A month prior, I had shot Haley's best friend's wedding at Emerald at Queensridge, and Haley was the maid of honor. (Jacqi + Grant, featured in the February 2020 issue of Spectacular Bride!). So a month later, Haley was already a pro at this wedding thang!
The event center at Paiute Golf Resort is a stunning, classy venue with a reception area with large windows that overlook the golf course and a sparkling man-made lake. It was a breezy day, chilly for October in Las Vegas.
Haley and her bridesmaids (now to include Jacqi, as MRS. Grant Marantette!) were the some of the chillest, fun, and crazy-let-loose bride and bridesmaids I've had!

Fun fact: prior to the wedding, I shot a secret boudoir session with Haley and made her a custom album with her favorite images for Ransom's wedding gift. He LOVED it! You can see his reaction in the image above, top left!

Seriously though--isn't she gorgeous??!

After the ceremony and family formals, Haley and Ransom did their First Dance and made the rounds with their guests.

During this time I was keeping a watchful eye on the light outside--waiting until we had just the perfect amount of golden light magic hour as the sun started to set. When it was perfect, we jumped into a golf cart and jetted down to the green to take my favorite images of every wedding--the romantic couple's portraits!

By this time, the wind was icy cold. But Haley was a champ and I wrapped her in my sweater in between takes to try to keep the goosebumps at bay. You'd never guess she was shivering in these shots, and they are some of my absolute favs from this wedding.

As the sun dropped and we lost the golden hour, I realized that the moon was coming up behind us, and I shot this final image of their amazing day.

Congratulations Haley and Ransom!
